Whereas a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament in accordance with section 316(2)(a), (c) and (g) of the Pensions Act 20041 and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament;
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 117(1), (3) and (7)(a), 126(1)(b), 174(1), (2), 181(5), (8)(a), 189(11)(a), 209(7) and (8), 315(2), (4) and (5) and 318(1) of the Pensions Act 20042 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted the Board3, and with the approval of the Treasury4, by this instrument, which is made before the end of the period of six months beginning with the coming into force of the provisions of that Act by virtue of which it is made5, hereby makes the following Regulations:
