Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Civil Contingencies Act 2004

2.  In Schedule 1 to the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 –

(a) in Part 1 (Category 1 responders: general), for paragraph 9(1) (the Health Protection Agency), substitute –

• “The Health Protection Agency established by section 1 of the Health Protection Agency Act 2004(1) in so far as its functions relate to Great Britain”; and

  (b)

  in Part 3 (Category 2 responders: general), after paragraph 29 insert –

  “Health

  29A   A Strategic Health Authority established under section 8 of the National Health Service Act 1977(2).”.
