Whereas a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament in accordance with section 316(2)(h) of the Pensions Act 20041 and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 213(1) to (3), (4)(a) to (d) and (f) and (5)(a) to (d) and (f), 315(2), (4) and (5) and 318(1) of the Pensions Act 20042, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after consultation with the Council on Tribunals in accordance with section 8 of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 19923, by this instrument, which contains regulations made before the end of the period of six months beginning with the coming into force of the provisions of the Act by virtue of which the regulations are made4, makes the following Regulations:
