The Social Security (Payments on Account of Benefit) Regulations 2013

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2)
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5(1)(r), 189(1), (4) to (6) and 191 of the Social Security Administration Act 19921 and section 84 of, and paragraph 9 of Schedule 2 to, the Social Security Act 19982.

In accordance with section 80(1)(b) of the Social Security Act 1998, a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

This instrument contains only regulations made by virtue of, or consequential upon, sections 101(1) and 104(1) of the Welfare Reform Act 20123 and is made before the end of the period of 6 months beginning with the coming into force of those sections4.
