Preliminary

2.  The following provisions of the relevant regulations apply for the purposes of the referendum—

(a) regulation 3(1) and (3) (interpretation)(1);

(b) regulation 5 (applications, notices etc)(2);

(c) regulation 6 (electronic signatures)(3);

(d) regulation 11 (interference with notices etc);

(e) regulation 32A (representations regarding clerical errors)(4);

(f) regulation 36A (communication of notices issued on polling day)(5);

(g) regulation 55A (additional requirements for applications for an emergency proxy vote)(6);

(h) regulation 62 (marked register for polling stations)(7);

(i) regulation 120 (calculating the fee for supply of marked registers or lists)(8).

Relevant amendments to regulation 3 of the England and Wales Regulations were made by regulations 2 and 3 of S.I. 2001/1700; regulation 5 of S.I. 2002/1871; regulation 2 of S.I. 2006/2910; and regulation 3 of S.I. 2013/3198. Relevant amendments to regulation 3 of the Scotland Regulations were made by regulations 2 and 3 of S.I. 2001/1749; regulation 5 of S.I. 2002/1872; regulation 2 of 2007/925; and regulation 3 of S.I. 2013/3206.
