Coming into force
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 54(1) and (5) of the Criminal Finances Act 20171 (“the Act”).
The Secretary of State has, in accordance with section 55(1) of the Act—
consulted the Scottish Ministers, and
consulted the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland.
In accordance with section 55(4) of the Act, a draft of this instrument has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Criminal Finances Act 2017 (Consequential Amendment) Regulations 2018 and come into force on 31st January 2018.
Amendment to section 278 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (limit on recovery)2
In section 278 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 20022, in subsection (7)(a), after “303O” insert “, 303R”.
