Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland: deputy registrar

10.  In Article 9 of the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976(1) (the registrar), after paragraph (5) insert the following paragraphs—

(6) The Department may appoint a fit and proper person as a deputy registrar for the purposes of this Order.

(7) The registrar may authorise the deputy registrar to act for the registrar in any matter..

Carrying on of retail pharmacy business from premises

11.  Schedule 2 makes minor amendments to Part 4 of the 1968 Act (pharmacies), and to sections 10 (exemptions for pharmacists) and 124 (offences by bodies corporate) of that Act, relating to the carrying on of a retail pharmacy business from (as well as at or on) premises.
