10. In Article 9 of the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976(1) (the registrar), after paragraph (5) insert the following paragraphs—
“(6) The Department may appoint a fit and proper person as a deputy registrar for the purposes of this Order.
(7) The registrar may authorise the deputy registrar to act for the registrar in any matter.”.
11. Schedule 2 makes minor amendments to Part 4 of the 1968 Act (pharmacies), and to sections 10 (exemptions for pharmacists) and 124 (offences by bodies corporate) of that Act, relating to the carrying on of a retail pharmacy business from (as well as at or on) premises.
