Part IThe railway

In the city of Westminster—

  • Work No. 1A A railway (655 metres in length in tunnel) commencing by a junction with the eastbound line of the Jubilee Line of the Company beneath a point 45 metres east of the junction of Park Place with St. James’s Street and terminating by a junction with Work No. 2 at its commencement beneath a point in St. James’s Park 293 metres west of the junction of Horse Guards with Bird Cage Walk and Great George Street;

  • Work No. 1B A railway (520 metres in length in tunnel) commencing by a junction with the westbound line of the Jubilee Line of the Company beneath a point 100 metres east of the said junction of Park Place with St. James’s Street and terminating by a junction with Work No. 1A at its termination and Work No. 2 at its commencement;

In the city of Westminster and in the London boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark—

  • Work No. 2 A railway (7,770 metres in length in tunnel) commencing by a junction with Works Nos. 1A and 1B at their termination and terminating beneath the river Thames at a point on the boundary between the London boroughs of Southwark and Tower Hamlets 300 metres east of the junction of Silver Walk with Rotherhithe Street, Southwark;

In the London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Greenwich and Newham—

  • Work No. 3A A railway (4,834 metres in length mainly in tunnel) commencing by a junction with Work No. 2 at its termination and terminating at a point 65 metres north of the junction of Ives Road with Stephenson Street, Newham;

In the London borough of Newham—

  • Work No. 4 A railway (2,960 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 3A at its termination and terminating at a point 355 metres north of the junction of Kennard Road with Gibbins Road;

  • Work No. 5 A railway (735 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 4 at a point 175 metres south-east of the junction of Canning Road with Abbey Road and terminating at a point 72 metres south of the junction of Channelsea Road with Burford Road together with a depot for the stabling and maintenance of rolling stock.
