XX Offenders may be committed to Prison without Poinding and Sale.
Any F1sheriff principal or Justice before whom any Offender is convicted of any Offence under the Provisions of the recited Act or this Act, on the Failure in Payment by such Offender of the Penalty and Costs which he has been adjudged to pay, may, without issuing any Warrant of Poinding or Distress and Sale for the Recovery of such Penalty and Costs, at once issue his Warrant for the Commitment to Prison of such Offender for the Periods specified in the Eighty-fourth Section of the recited Act, unless such Penalty and Costs be sooner paid and satisfied.
