2If in the case of any application the Minister determines that a public inquiry shall be held, the council making the application shall publish notice of the inquiry in such newspaper or newspapers on such number of days as the Minister may direct, and also in the case of an application under subsection (1) of the said section forty-six, in the London Gazette if the road to which the application relates is situate in England, and in the Edinburgh Gazette if the road to which the application relates is situate in Scotland.
A notice for the purposes of this paragraph shall be in such form and shall contain such particulars as may be prescribed.
