Where any alteration is made in the rules of a club registered in respect of any premises, the secretary of the club shall give written notice of the alteration to the chief officer of police and to the clerk of the local authority.

If the notice required by this section is not given within twenty-eight days of the alteration, the secretary shall be liable to a fine not exceeding F1level 1 on the standard scale.

Notwithstanding anything in F2section 127(1) of the M1Magistrates’ Courts Act 1980, proceedings under this section for failing to give notice of an alteration of rules may be brought at any time within the twelve months following the date on which the alteration is made.
