7 Interpretation, etc.—general.E+W+S

(1)In this Act “the principal Act” means the M1Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965, and [F1“the Authority”,]. . ., “registered” and “registered society” have the same meanings as in that Act.

(2)Sections [F270A F3. . . and 72] of the principal Act (which contain supplemental provisions relating to fees [F4F3. . . and documents]) shall apply for the purposes of this Act as they apply for the purposes of that Act.

8 Citation, commencement and extent.E+W+S

(1)This Act may be cited as the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1967 and this Act and the principal Act may be cited together as the M2Industrial and Provident Societies Acts 1965 and 1967.

(2)This Act shall come into operation on the expiration of the period of two months beginning with the date on which it is passed.

(3)This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland.
