The Gaming Board for Great Britain shall by that name be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal.

The chairman and other members of the Board shall hold and vacate office as such in accordance with the terms of their appointments.

A person who ceases to hold office as a member of the Board, or ceases to hold office as chairman, shall be eligible for reappointment.

In addition to the inspectors appointed under section 43 of this Act, the Board may appoint such officers and servants as, after consultation with the Secretary of State and with the consent of the F1Treasury, the Board may determine; and the Board shall be included among the bodies specified in Schedule 8 to the M1Superannuation Act 1965.

The Secretary of State shall pay to the members of the Board such remuneration and allowances as, with the consent of the F2Treasury, he may determine.

The Secretary of State may pay such pension or gratuity to or in respect of any member of the Board as the Secretary of State may, with the consent of the Treasury, determine.

The Board shall pay to their officers and servants (including the inspectors appointed under section 43 of this Act) such remuneration and allowances as, after consultation with the Secretary of State and with the consent of the F4Treasury, the Board may determine.

The Board shall have power to regulate their own procedure.

The validity of any proceedings of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy among the members of the Board or by any defect in the appointment of any such member.
