42 Publication or disclosure of information. U.K.

Any person who publishes or discloses any information obtained by him in the exercise of any power conferred by or under this Part of this Act, otherwise than for the purpose of the proper discharge of a duty in that behalf or to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food F1 [, the Scottish Ministers] or the Secretary of State, shall be liable—

(a) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or a fine not exceeding £100, or to both;

(b) on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to a fine not exceeding £50 or to both.
