The provisions of section 48 of the principal Act (proof of certain matters not necessary to validity of marriages) shall apply with the appropriate modifications to a marriage solemnised under the authority of the Registrar General’s licence as they apply to a marriage solemnised under the authority of a [F1marriage schedule].
