(1)
Paragraph 1 above applies to a joint authority F3or a police authority established under F4section 3 of the Police Act 1996F5or the Service Authority for the National Crime Squad as it applies to a principal council, except that the annual meeting of the authority shall be held on such day between 1st March and 30th June (both inclusive) as the authority may fix.

The other provisions of Part I of this Schedule shall apply to an authority mentioned in paragraph 6A above as they apply to a principal council except that F7(a)the number of members mentioned in paragraph 3(2) shall be three F8, and . . . F9
F8(b)
in the case of a police authority established under F10section 3 of the Police Act 1996, F11 , or of the Service Authority for the National Crime Squad, sub-paragraphs (2) and (3) of paragraph 5 shall not apply and if the chairman is absent from a meeting of such an authority another member chosen by the members of the authority present shall preside F12, and
F12(c)
in the case of the Service Authority for the National Crime Squad, paragraph 4(2) shall apply as if the reference to three clear days were a reference to seven clear days.
