SCHEDULE 2 Constitution and Membership of Greater London Council and London Borough Councils

Part I

Election of chairman and mayor

(1)

The election of the F1. . . mayor shall be the first business transacted at the annual meeting of F1. . . a London borough council.

(2)

If, apart from paragraph 2(3) above F1. . ., the person presiding at the meeting would have ceased to be a member of the council, he shall not be entitled to vote in the election except in accordance with sub-paragraph (3) below.

(3)

In the case of an equality of votes the person presiding at the meeting shall give a casting vote in addition to any other vote he may have.
