A person elected or appointed under the foregoing provisions of this Act in England or Wales [F1or under Part F2. . . IV of the Local Government Act 1985] to fill any casual vacancy, or elected under the 1933 Act in England to fill a casual vacancy in the office of chairman of a parish council or parish meeting or of parish councillor, shall hold office until the date upon which the person in whose place he is elected [F1or appointed] would regularly have retired, and he shall then retire.
