30Punishment for unlawful eviction or harassment of tenants
In subsection (3) of section 30 of the [1965 c. 75.] Rent Act 1965 (which prescribes the maximum punishment for an offence under that section) for the words from " shall be liable on summary conviction " onwards there shall be substituted the words " shall be liable—
a
on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding £400 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both;
b
on conviction on indictment, to a fine or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both ".
