In section 7 of the Town Development Act 1952 (authorities eligible to participate) for paragraph (d) there shall be substituted the following paragraph:—

and any other reference to a joint water or sewerage board in sections 7 and 8 of that Act shall be construed as a reference to a water authority.

Section 8(4) of that Act (exercise of sewerage functions by participating authorities) shall cease to have effect.
