The functions of local authorities under the M1Ancient Monuments Acts 1913 and M21931 shall be district planning functions, and the references in those Acts to a borough or to a district or the council thereof shall be construed accordingly.

The functions of local authorities under Part I (except section 24) of the M3Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 (caravan sites) shall be functions of islands and district councils and under the said section 24 shall be functions of regional, islands or district councils and regional or district planning functions.

The functions of planning authorities under section 9 of, and Schedule 3 to, the M4Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Act 1972 shall be district planning functions.
