Whole provisions yet to be inserted into this Act (including any effects on those provisions):
(1)[F2Boundaries Scotland] may appoint one or more members of [F3Boundaries Scotland] —
(a)to hold any local inquiry or to carry out any consultation or investigation which [F3Boundaries Scotland] are required or authorised to hold or carry out under this Act; and
(b)to report to [F3Boundaries Scotland] accordingly.
(2)At the request of [F4Boundaries Scotland] the Secretary of State may appoint one or more persons as assistant commissioners for all or any of the purposes specified in subsection (1)(a) and (b) above.
(3)The appointment of an assistant commissioner under subsection (2) above—
(a)shall be for such period or for such purpose or purposes as may be specified in the terms of his appointment; and
(b)shall be on such terms and conditions as to remuneration and otherwise as may be determined by the Secretary of State with the approval of [F5the Treasury].
