Nothing in section 20A, 20B F3, 20C or 20I affects what constitutes contempt of court at common law.

The Coroners Act 1887M1 shall have effect subject to the amendments set out in Schedule 2 to this Act (being amendments consequential on certain of the repeals made by this Act).

Any enactment, instrument or document referring to any enactment repealed by this Act shall, so far as may be necessary for preserving its effect, be construed as referring, or as including a reference, to the corresponding provision of this Act.

Any instrument or document made, served or given and any other things done under any enactment repealed by this Act shall have effect as if made, served, given or done under the corresponding provision of this Act.

The enactments mentioned in Schedule 3 to this Act are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.

Nothing in subsections (2) and (3) above shall be construed as affecting the operation of F1sections 16(1) and 17(2)(a) of the Interpretation Act M21978.
