(1)Schedule 4 to this Act shall have effect for calculating for the purposes of this Act, the [1965 c. 62.] Redundancy Payments Act 1965, the [1972 c. 53.] Contracts of Employment Act 1972, and the 1974 Act the normal working hours and the amount of a week's pay of any employee and, in the case of the said Acts of 1965 and 1972, shall have effect instead of the relevant provisions of paragraph 5 of Schedule 1 and of Schedule 2 to the said Act of 1965 and of Schedule 2 to the said Act of 1972.
(2)In consequence of subsection (1) above, Schedule 2 to the said Act of 1972 shall have effect (as respects the liability of an employer to an employee for the period of notice required by section 1(1) or (2) of that Act), as set out in Schedule 5 to this Act.
