SCHEDULE 1 Additional Provisions with respect to the Policyholders Protection Board

Remuneration, etc. of members

(1)

Subject to sub-paragraph (2) below, Board shall pay to each member or alternate member such remuneration and such travelling, subsistence or other allowances as the Board may determine.

(2)

Any determination of the Board with respect to the remuneration to be paid to any member or alternate member shall be subject to the approval of the F1Treasury, and the F1Treasury shall not give F2their approval without the consent of the Minister for the Civil Service.

If a person ceases to be a member or an alternate member of the Board and it appears to the F3Treasury that there are special circumstances which make it right that that person should receive compensation, the F3Treasury may require the Board to pay to that person a sum of such amount as the F3Treasury may with the consent of the Minister for the Civil Service determine.
