For purposes of this Act—
(a)“caravan” has the same meaning as it has for purposes of Part I of the M1Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960;
(b)“caravan site” means any land in respect of which a site licence is required under Part I of [F1the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 or Part 2 of the Mobile Homes (Wales) Act 2013], or would be so required if paragraph 4 and paragraph 11 of Schedule 1 to [F2the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 or paragraph 4 and paragraph 11 of Schedule 1 to the Mobile Homes (Wales) Act 2013] (exemption of certain land occupied and supervised by organisations concerned with recreational activities and of land occupied by local authorities) were omitted;
(c)a caravan pitch is a “pitch for a leisure caravan” if in accordance with any licence or planning permission regulating the use of the caravan site a caravan stationed on the pitch is not allowed to be used for human habitation throughout the year;
(d)“site operator” means the person who is for purposes of Part I of [F3the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960] the occupier of the caravan site [F4or is for purposes of the Mobile Homes (Wales) Act 2013 the owner of the caravan site].
