1 Increase of age for purchase of fireworks etc and of certain penalties relating to fireworks etc.

In section 31 of the M1 Explosives Act 1875 (which, as extended by section 39 of that Act, prohibits the sale to children of explosives, including fireworks, and provides that a person who makes a sale in contravention of the said section 31 shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding £20) for the words “any child apparently under the age of thirteen” there shall be substituted the words “any person under the age of sixteen” and for the word “£20” there shall be substituted the word “£200”.
