7E+WIn section 19 of the Criminal Justice Administration Act 1914 (continuous bail otherwise than in proceedings in magistrates’ courts), for the words “the recognizance may be conditioned” there shall be substituted the words “the court may, where it remands him on bail in criminal proceedings (within the meaning of the Bail Act 1976) direct him to appear or, in any other case, direct that his recognizance be conditioned”.
