This is the original version (as it was originally enacted).
(1)The holder of a refreshment licence in respect of any premises or his employee or agent shall not allow a person under 14 who is not accompanied by a person of 21 or over to be in the premises during the permitted hours, nor shall he allow a person under 14 to remain on the premises after eight in the evening, and if any person contravenes this section he shall be guilty of an offence.
(2)No offence shall be committed under this section if the person under 14—
(a)is a child of the holder of the licence, or
(b)resides in the premises but is not employed there.
