10If an employee returns to work in accordance with [F1section 45(1) or in pursuance of an offer made in the circumstances described in section 56A(2)] after a period of absence from work wholly or partly occasioned by pregnancy or confinement, every week during that period shall count in computing a period of employment, notwithstanding that it does not fall under paragraph 3, 4 or 5.
