29 Compensation orders for damage to monuments under guardianship in England and Wales.E+W+S
Where the owner or any other person is convicted of an offence involving damage to a monument situated in England and Wales which was at the time of the offence under the guardianship of the Secretary of State [F1or the Commission] or any local authority by virtue of this Act, any compensation order made under section 35 of the M1Powers of Criminal Courts Act 1973 (compensation orders against convicted persons) in respect of that damage shall be made in favour of the Secretary of State or [F2the Commission or the local authority in question (as the case may require)].
