29 Compensation orders for damage to monuments under guardianship in England and Wales.E+W+S
Where the owner or any other person is convicted of an offence involving damage to a monument situated in England and Wales which was at the time of the offence under the guardianship of the Secretary of State [F1or the Commission] or any local authority by virtue of this Act, any compensation order made under [F2Chapter 2 of Part 7 of the Sentencing Code] (compensation orders against convicted persons) in respect of that damage shall be made in favour of the Secretary of State or [F3the Commission or the local authority in question (as the case may require)].
