32(1)In Schedule 6 paragraphs 6 and 7 (which relate to transitional cases involving a pension under the Old Age Pensions Act 1936 or an assistance grant under the National Assistance Act 1948 or an appeal to a tribunal constituted under Schedule 3 to the Supplementary Benefit Act 1966) shall cease to have effect, but any supplementary benefit payable to a woman instead of to another person by virtue of sub-paragraph (4) of the said paragraph 6 shall continue to be so payable subject to any regulations relating to that sub-paragraph which are made in pursuance of section 8(1) of this Act.E+W+S
(2)In paragraph 8 of Schedule 6 (which among things provides for certain proceedings for the recovery of sums which could previously have been taken by the National Assistance Board to be taken by the Supplementary Benefits Commission in some cases and the Secretary of State in others) for paragraphs (a) and (b) of sub-paragraph (1) there shall be substituted the words “by the Secretary of State", and sub-paragraph (3) shall be omitted.
