284 Powers of Minister[F1or strategic highways company] in relation to privately maintainable parts of trunk roads.E+W
Where a trunk road comprises a highway which a person is liable to maintain under a charter or special enactment or by reason of tenure, enclosure or prescription, the Minister[F2or a strategic highways company, whichever is highway authority for the trunk road,] is entitled to exercise in relation to that highway any power which he would be entitled to exercise in relation thereto if that highway were a highway maintainable at the public expense.
