SCHEDULE 5 Consequential Amendments

(1)

Section 2 (Admiralty jurisdiction etc.) shall be amended as follows.

(2)

In subsection (1)—

(a)

for “Parts I and V” substitute “ Part V ”; and

(b)

for the words from “the reference in section 4(1)” to “the said Schedule 1)” substitute “ the reference in paragraph 4(1) of the said Part I and the second reference in paragraph 8(1) of that Part) ”.

After subsection (3) insert—

“(3A)

Subsection (3) of this section shall have effect as if the reference to the enactments mentioned in subsection (1) as extended by that subsection included a reference to sections 20 to 24 of the Supreme Court Act 1981.”.
