Section 5 of the Public Works (Festival of Britain) Act 1949 shall be amended as follows.

In subsection (8)(a) for the words from " the Second Schedule " to the end of the paragraph substitute " Part I of the Compulsory Purchase Act 1965 and sections 3 and 4 of, and Schedule 2 to, the Acquisition of Land Act 1981 ".

In subsection (9) for "subsection (2) of section one of the Acquisition of Land (Authorisation Procedure) Act 1946" substitute " Part III of the Acquisition of Land Act 1981 ".
