20(1)In section 8 of the Civil Aviation Act 1978—
(a)in subsection (3) for the words from “section 5” onwards there shall be substituted the words “the said section 9)” ;
(b)in paragraph (a) of subsection (4) for the words from “an” onwards there shall be substituted the words “for the purposes of section 78 of the Civil Aviation Act 1982 (regulation of noise and vibration from aircraft)”.
(2)After subsection (1) of section 13 of the said Act of 1978 there shall be inserted the following subsection—
“(2)Any power conferred by this Act to make an order or to amke regulations shall include power to make such incidental, supplemental or transitional provision as the authority exercising the power thinks fit.”
