In section 170 of the 1973 Act (which designates regional, islands and district councils as local authorities for the purposes of the M1War Memorials (Local Authorities’ Powers) Act 1923) for the words “local authority within the meaning of this Act” there shall be substituted the words “islands or district council ”.
