The Director General of Fair Trading shall consult with the Director before publishing under section 124(1) of the 1973 Act (publication of information and advice) any information or advice which the Director has power to publish under section 48(1) of this Act.

Section 125(1) of the 1973 Act (annual and other reports) shall not apply to activities of the Commission on which the Director is required to report by section 55(1) of this Act.

In section 133(2)(a) of the 1973 Act (exceptions to general restriction on disclosure of information), after the words “the Director", there shall be inserted the words “the Director General of Telecommunications," and after the words “the M2Competition Act 1980" there shall be inserted the words “or the Telecommunications Act 1984,".

In paragraph 7 of Part I of Schedule 5 to the 1973 Act (which specifies the services in respect of which references under section 14 of that Act are restricted), for the words from “in" onwards there shall be substituted the words “in paragraphs (a) to (d) of section 4(1) of the Telecommunications Act 1984".
