60(1)In section 16(6) of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (power by order to provide exemption from the regulation of consumer hire agreements), for the words after paragraph (b) there shall be substituted the words “or where the owner is a public telecommunications operator specified in the order".
(2)In section 174(3)(a) of the said Act of 1974 (exceptions to general restriction on disclosure of information), after the words “the M1Competition Act 1980" there shall be inserted the words “or the Telecommunications Act 1984" and after the words “any other Minister", there shall be inserted the words “the Director General of Telecommunications,".
