(1)[F1A direction under section 82(2) by the [F2national authority] shall be given] by means of an order made by the [F2national authority] after giving public notice of [F3the national authority's] intention to make an order.
[F4( 2 )A direction under section 82(2) by a local traffic authority shall be given by [F5 a strategic highways company or ] by means of an order made by [F6the company or] the authority.]
(3)Section 68(1)(c) of this Act shall apply to any order made under subsection (2) above.
[F7(4)The power of the Welsh Ministers to make an order under subsection (1) is exercisable by statutory instrument.]
