31 Judicial appointments and legal professional privilege.
(1)
Personal data held by a government department are exempt from the subject access provisions if the data consists of information which has been received from a third party and is held as information relevant to the making of judicial apointments.
(2)
Personal data are exempt from the subject access provisions if the data consist of information in respect of which a claim to legal professional privilege (or, Scotland, to confidentiality as between client and professional legal adviser) could be maintained in legal proceedings.
