Grounds for reception into guardianship

36Patients liable to be received into guardianship

A person may, in pursuance of an application for reception into guardianship under section 37(1) of this Act, be received into guardianship on the grounds that—

a

he is suffering from mental disorder of a nature or degree which warrants his reception into guardianship; and

b

it is necessary in the interests of the welfare of the patient that he should be so received.
