The Electric Lighting Act 1888 (c.12)

In section 4 of the Electric Lighting Act 1888 (restrictions as to placing of electric lines etc.)—
a
in subsection (1), for the word " street" there shall be substituted the word " road " ; and
b
in subsection (5), the words " the term ' street' shall include any square, court, or alley, highway, lane, road, thoroughfare, or public passage or place whatever, and " shall cease to have effect.
