(3)In section 4 of the said Act of 1947 for the words “the council of every county” there shall be substituted the words “the council of every non-metropolitan county”.
(4)In the M1Metropolitan Fire Brigade Act 1865 the references to the Metropolitan Board of Works (which, by virtue of section 48(3) of the M2London Government Act 1963, are to be construed as references to the Greater London Council) shall be construed as references to the [F4London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority].
