In section 19(1) of the M1Land Compensation Act 1973—

(a)

at the end of paragraph (a) of the definition of " the appropriate highway authority " , there shall be inserted the words " or any other authority to which the functions of that authority in relation to that highway are transferred by virtue of the Local Government Act 1985" ; and

(b)

at the end of paragraph (b) of that definition, there shall be inserted the words " or any other authority to which the functions of that authority in relation to that highway are transferred by virtue of that Act" .
