In section 34 of the 1974 Act—
a
subsections (1) and (2); and
b
subject to any rules made under that section and applied to recognised bodies in accordance with section 9(2)(f) of this Act, subsection (3),
shall apply to a recognised body as they apply to a solicitor.

A certificate under the hand of the Secretary of the Society shall, unless the contrary is proved, be evidence that a recognised body has or, as the case may be, has not delivered to the Society an accountant’s report or supplied any evidence required under section 34 of the 1974 Act or under any such rules as are referred to in sub-paragraph (1)(b).
