With the exception of the provisions referred to in subsection (2), this Act does not extend to Scotland or Northern Ireland.

sections 59 and 60;

sections 62 to 64, section 67(2) and Schedule 8 so far as they relate to the Justices Protection (Ireland) Act 1849, the Judicature (Northern Ireland) Act 1978 and the Administration of Justice Act 1982, and paragraph 16 of Schedule 9.

c

section 66;

d

this section; and

e

section 69.

Of those provisions—

a

subsections (1) to (5) of section 60 extend to the Isle of Man as well as to Scotland and Northern Ireland;

b

the provisions referred to in subsection (2)(b) extend to Northern Ireland only; and

c

section 66 does not extend to Northern Ireland.

An Order in Council under paragraph 1(1)(b) of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 1974 (legislation for Northern Ireland in the interim period) which states that it is made only for purposes corresponding to those of section 45 or 52 of this Act—

a

shall not be subject to paragraph 1(4) and (5) of that Schedule (affirmative resolution of both Houses of Parliament); but

b

shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House.
