SCHEDULE 4Constitution, Powers and Proceedings of the Transport Tribunal
Constitution

The Transport Tribunal shall be a court of record and have an official seal which shall be judicially noticed.

The tribunal shall consist of—
a
a president and two or more chairmen appointed by the Lord Chancellor (referred to below in this Schedule as judicial members); and
b
two or more other members appointed by the Secretary of State.

The president of the tribunal shall be a barrister, advocate or solicitor of not less than ten years' standing, and each chairman shall be a barrister, advocate or solicitor of not less than seven years' standing.
