SCHEDULE 4 Constitution, Powers and Proceedings of the Transport Tribunal

The tribunal shall consist of—
a
a president and two or more chairmen appointed by the Lord Chancellor (referred to below in this Schedule as judicial members); and
b
two or more other members appointed by the Secretary of State.

The president of the tribunal shall be—
F2a
a person who satisfies the judicial-appointment eligibility condition on a 7-year basis; or
b
an advocate or solicitor in Scotland of at least F3 7 years’ standing.
2A
Each chairman shall be—
F4a
a person who satisfies the judicial-appointment eligibility condition on a 5-year basis; or
b
an advocate or solicitor in Scotland of at least F5 5 years’ standing.
